About The Blog And Its Author

Hi and welcome to all readers!

In the spirit of full disclosure I have decided to put together a page explaining a little bit about myself and my motivation for starting my Blunderous stories blog. As you have probably deduced by now the blog is a mixture of personal recollections, truly blunderous stories and I hope a wry look at some everyday pitfalls of living in the modern world. A world which seems to be totally dominated by the Internet and the advent of instant communication. Of course the irony that these posts and scribbling's find their readership using the very same Internet is not lost on me, without the web my chances of having people read my thoughts in all regions of the world would be nil but there are aspects of the world wide web that I find irritating, even disturbing so I hope you will forgive some of my mild ramblings on the subject of the web whenever they occur.

As for me I am older than is reasonable to expect and worked at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. Other jobs have included the hiring of power tools and equipment to the construction industry and working in a car parts stores.
I realise that this can hardly be construed as having a career as a 'mover & shaker' or in any sense living life on the edge, but please remember how limited my ability to cope with seemingly mundane everyday events and adjust your opinions accordingly.

I have made my home on the edge of Dartmoor with my lovely lady and Hector, our equally lovely Cocker Spaniel. To relax I like to read anything by John Grisham, Lee Child or Linwood Barclay and my all time favourite band has to be Pink Floyd, but I like a wide range of music and therefore bands.
My heroes include Laurel & Hardy, Oscar Wilde and Carl Sagan and my ideal night out would have been a curry with all these guys plus Messrs Grisham,Child and Barclay, followed by a few brandies listening to some Oscar Wilde anecdotes.

I hope you enjoy reading the blog and if it provides little in the way of enlightenment, you do at least receive some solace from the realisation that there is somebody out there, in a small corner of the UK who is making an even bigger rickets of living in the modern world than you are!
